About Us

We moved to Ryde from our home of 28 years in Epsom, Surrey. We were fortunate, at the end of 2019, to find an already successful family run holiday letting business and we are looking forward to welcoming more people to this lovely island.  In July 2020 we adopted a tri-paw Romanian rescue dog, Gracie - we are all enjoying the wonderful dog walks locally. 

Our two unique self-catering lodges, Monktonmead and Woodside, can be found within Pig Leg Lane Nature Reserve and are set in the grounds of our home, Arethusa Cottage. Both lodges have private decking areas but guests are welcome to enjoy our large garden - morning coffee overlooking the pond is very popular and the grounds are regularly visited by red squirrels!

The lodges provide the perfect base for families, friends and couples to explore the island all year round, being just a mile from Ryde esplanade and within walking distance of the town centre.  Although the lodges are secluded, there are plenty of facilities in the local area and if you don't want to venture into Ryde there is a Tesco Extra store less than 5 minutes drive away - so self catering couldn't be easier!
